The tickets for the 2012 Olympics don't go on sale until next year, but sports fans are being urged to book their accommodation sooner rather than later.
And with only 100,000 hotel rooms available in the capital, according to London2012.com, there will be plenty of visitors that choose to stay in one of the many serviced apartments on offer from SACO and partner suppliers.
Ten million Olympics tickets to be sold
The Games' official website states that tickets for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games go on sale in 2011, although they do not say exactly when different events will be available for purchase: you need to register for e-mail updates to be notified of that.
When they do open the box office, approximately eight million tickets will be available for the Olympic Games, with another two million for the Paralympic Games which takes place in the following weeks.
There is no deadline to buy tickets for the sporting events: subject to availability, they'll remain on sale until the start of every competition.
However, you can be sure that for the prestige events such as the track & field days, final sessions of team and tournament events, and the main London Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, tickets will be in high demand and are sure to sell out quickly.
The same will be true for accommodation, as anybody with tickets will be looking to pounce on the best hotel rooms and serviced apartments that London has to offer!
